Meet Catherine! She is an instructor at Hinds Community College and supporter of Light & Salt Learning.


"Kate's Light & Salt Math resources have been invaluable in helping me teach Algebra and the math portion of the GED to my students at Hinds Community College in Jackson, MS. In a city that holds the unfortunate title of the per capita murder capital of the US, our students face immense challenges just to get to school. Despite the dangers of our city and the struggles of underperforming public schools in the area, these resources have empowered my students to overcome and make significant strides in their education.  Using Kate's resources, every single student I have sent to take the Math test has been successful with their first attempt!


One of my students is so dedicated to changing his path that he walks to the bus stop and rides over an hour each way to get to class. He never misses class because he knows that education is his key to a better future.
